International Activities

Our foundation's president, Prof. Dr. Duran Canatan, is actively involved in collaboration with the Haydar Aliyev Foundation in Azerbaijan, particularly working on the operations of the Thalassemia Center in Baku and the Thalassemia Prevention Project. This collaboration is facilitated through a special protocol, and Prof. Dr. Duran Canatan serves as an advisor to Mihriban Aliyeva, the President of the Haydar Aliyev Foundation.

Efforts Made for the Thalassemia Center in Mosul

On March 17, 2010, a preliminary protocol was established between the Mediterranean Blood Diseases Foundation and the Mosul Health Directorate team to implement the Thalassemia Center and Thalassemia Prevention Project in Mosul.

Work done for the Syrian Thalassemia Center

On November 5-12, 2011, the Mediterranean Blood Diseases Foundation provided training at the Syria Health Directorate, delivered by Dr. Nanja Mansura.

PROJECT SUPPORT TO GERMANY

On October 6-7, 2014, architects from Germany were briefed at the AEAH ADEM TOLUNAY THALASSEMIA CENTER.

The efforts for the Talasemi Center in Punjab, Pakistan

From May 22 to May 25, 2017, training on Thalassemia Prevention activities was provided to the Health Delegation of the Punjab Region in Pakistan.
